A. Preparation for Installation
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1)
Remove the remaining sealant with a wood or plastic scraper and clean the structure with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004).
(2)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to all junction components.

B. Installation of the Air Intake Duct
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 49-16-42-991-003)
(1)
Put the air intake duct (1) into position and hold it.
(2)
Install the bolts (21) and (22) and the washers (20) and (23).
(3)
Install the top flange (17) and the bottom flange (18) around the air intake duct (1).
(4)
Install the bolts (4) and the washers (3). Do not fully tighten the bolts at this time.
(5)
Install the bolts (9), the washers (8) and the screws (19). Do not fully tighten the bolts at this time.
(6)
Install the bolts (7), the washers (6) and the nuts (5). Tighten all screws and bolts.
(7)
Install the flexible seal (14) on the flange (15) and install the distance washers (16) at the lower holes of the seal.

Install the brackets (12) with the flanged edge to the outer side.

Install the bolts (13), the washers (11) and the nuts (10). Tighten the bolts equally.

Install the flange (15) with the screws (2) on the air intake duct (1).
(11)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) to all locations from which the sealant was removed.
(12)
Seal the bonding connections with SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) and then apply PAINTS FOR DETAIL (INTERNAL AND EXTERN AL) (Material No. 07-001).
(13)
Install the air intake nose (Ref. TASK 49-16-44-400-003).
(14)
Install the air intake flap (Ref. TASK 49-16-43-400-003).
(15)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-005) around the screw heads at the inner side of the air intake duct.

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD.
