A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Make sure that the access doors 315AL and 316AR are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3)
Make sure that the APU air intake flap is in open position. Subtask 49-16-44-865-051
B.
Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged

A. Preparation for Installation
(1)
Remove the old sealant. Use the solvent CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-001) and a wooden or plastic scraper.
(2)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Protective Treatment WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(a) Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to all screws and washers.
(4) Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the mating surfaces of the air intake nose (13), the bracket (4) and the end profile (5).

B. Installation of the Air Intake Nose
(1)
Put the air intake nose (13) in position and hold it.
(2)
Install the screws (1). Do not fully tighten the screws at this time.
(3)
Install the screws (3) and the washers (2). Do not fully tighten the screws at this time.
(4)
Install the bracket (4) and the end-profile (5) with the screws (7 and 8) and the washers (6 and 9).
(5)
Install the bolts (10), the washers (11) and the nuts (12).
(6)
Tighten all screws and bolts. Subtask 49-16-44-910-054
C.
Application of the Surface Treatments
(1)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) to all locations, where removed, when dry apply PAINTS FOR DETAIL (INTERNAL AND EXTERN AL) (Material No. 07-001).
(2)
Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) to all the nuts, washers and screwheads.
(3)
Apply the SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-005) to all the
screwheads.

5. Close-up
Subtask 49-16-44-410-050
A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Close the APU access doors 316AR, 315AL (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(3)
Remove the access platform(s). Subtask 49-16-44-865-052
B.
Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD.
