Disconnect the two toggle joints from the hooks (2) on one side and lower the lower inle-plenum (1).

Disconnect the other two toogle joints from the hooks (2) and remove the lower inlet-plenum (1).

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5)
Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the APU compartment.
(6)
Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7)
Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the on position.

A. Installation of the Lower Inlet-Plenum
(1)
Install the lower inlet plenum
(a)
Hang the lower half plenum (1) with the four toggle joints on the hooks (2). Do not close the toggle joints at this time.
(b)
Make sure the plenum alignment-tab is aligned with the pin.
(c)
Close two toggle joints on one side of the plenum.
(d)
Make sure that the alignment pin is still aligned with the plenum alignment tab.
(e)
Close two toggle joints on the other side
(f)
Verify correct engagement of the pin and plenum alignment tab.
(2)
Install the accessories on the plenum
(a)
Install the Compressor Discharge-Pressure Sensor (8039KM) (Ref. TASK 49-51-19-400-002).
(b)
Install the Inlet Pressure/Temperature Sensor (8013KM) (Ref. TASK 49-23-17-400-001).
(c)
Install the Ignition Unit support bracket to the lower inlet plenum.
