A. Preparation for Installation
(1)
Remove the old sealant. Use the solvent CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-001) and a wooden or plastic scraper.
(2)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to all screws and washers.
(4)
Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-018) to the mating surfaces of the air intake nose (13), the bracket (4) and the end profile (5).

B. Installation of the Air Intake Nose
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 49-16-44-991-003)
(1)
Put the air intake nose (13) in position and hold it.
(2)
Install the screws (1). Do not fully tighten the screws at this time.
(3)
Install the screws (3) and the washers (2). Do not fully tighten the screws at this time.
(4)
Install the bracket (4) and the end-profile (5) with the screws (7 and 8) and the washers (6 and 9).
(5)
Install the bolts (10), the washers (11) and the nuts (12).

Application of the Surface Treatments
(1)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) to all locations, where removed, when dry apply PAINTS FOR DETAIL (INTERNAL AND EXTERN AL) (Material No. 07-001).
(2)
Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) to all the nuts, washers and screwheads.
(3)
Apply the SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-005) to all the screwheads.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Set the LIGHT SW 11LJ to the OFF position.
(3)
Close the APU access doors 316AR, 315AL (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-001).
(4)
Remove the access platform(s). Subtask 49-16-44-865-058
B.
Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD.
