Non Start Cycle of APU
CAUTION : DO NOT TRY TO START THE APU A FOURTH TIME UNTIL THE STARTER
_______ MOTOR IS COOL (60 MINUTES MINIMUM). WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU TRY TO START THE APU THREE TIMES, WITH AN INTERVAL OF ONE MINUTE BETWEEN EACH TIME THAT YOU TRY.
(a) On overhead panel 25VU:
-
put the APU MASTER SW to the ON position.
-
put a container below the primary fuel manifold.
-
put the APU START button to start for 15 seconds to turn engine and allow the preservation oil to flow overboard from the primary fuel manifold.
NOTE : To cancel motoring cycle, put the APU MASTER SW p/bsw to
____
the OFF position.

Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):
1KD, 2KD.
(9)
Put a warning notice in position in the cockpit to indicate that the APU is not serviceable.
(10)
Remove preservation oil supply and connect the LP inlet fuel-line to the FCU (Ref. TASK 49-32-11-400-003).
(11)
Connect the primary-fuel pipe to the flow divider and drain-valve assy (Ref. TASK 49-32-13-400-001).
(12)
Remove the blanking caps and connect the electrical connector P10 to the ignition unit (Ref. TASK 49-41-38-400-003).

Cleaning of APU and APU compartment

(1)
Do the APU Preservation as given in Para 4. A.
(2)
Remove the APU (Ref. TASK 49-11-11-000-004).

Remove the APU Generator (Ref. TASK 24-23-51-000-001).

Install the COVER - ASSEMBLY, APU GEN.
(5)
Installation of sealing caps CAUTION : PUT PLASTIC CAPS OR PLUGS ON ALL FUEL AND/OR LUBRICATION
_______ SYSTEM COMPONENTS AND LINES. IF YOU USE TAPE, CLOTH, OR METAL CAPS ON THEM, YOU CAN DAMAGE THE APU.
(a) Put caps, covers or seals on all external pressure ports, fittings and all other openings of the APU.

(a) Remove all oil and fuel from the external surface of the APU with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-002)
(7) Attach a warning label to the APU to indicate that the APU is preserved.

Put 1 kg (2.2046 lb) of desiccant (silica gel) in position to the exhaust and compressor inlet sections of the engine.
(9)
Put 0.5 kg (1.1023 lb) of desiccant (silica gel) on the front of the accessory gearbox section.
(10)
Install a humidity indicator on the APU. Make sure that you can see the indicator with the APU in stored position.
(11)
Put the APU in a water-vapor proof bag.
(12)
Put the APU in a storage container.
(13)
Do a check of the humidity indicator every 30 days. NOTE : Maximum storage time is one year then the preservation
