A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
On the panel 25VU, make sure that the APU MASTER SW pushbutton switch is off.
(3)
Make sure that there is a warning notice in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the APU.
(4)
Make sure that hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(5)
Make sure that the access platform is in position below the APU compartment.
(6)
Make sure that the APU access doors are open (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(7)
Make sure that the LIGHT control switch 11LJ is set to the on position.
(8)

A. Installation of the Air Intake Duct
(1)
Put the air intake duct (1) into position and hold it.
(2)
Install the bolt (6) and the bolts (5) and (3) and the washers (4) and (2).
(3)
Install the top flange (20) and the bottom flange (29) around the air intake duct (1).
(4)
Install the bolts (26) and the washers (27). Do not fully tighten the bolts at this time.
(5)
Install the bolts (24) and the washers (23). Do not fully tighten the bolts at this time.
(6)
Install the bolts (18) and the washers (19) to the anchor nuts. Tighten all screws and bolts.
(7)
Install the seal (13) on the flange (14) and install the distance washers (32) at the lower holes of the seal.
(8)
Install the frame (12) on the flange (14).
(9)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016):
-to fill gaps which remain in the area of the flange (14) and the frame of the air intake duct (1).
(10)
Install the bolts (10), the washers (11) (15) and the nuts (16). Tighten the bolts equally.
(11)
Install the flange (14) with the screws (28), the washer (30) and the nuts (31) on the air intake duct (1).
(12)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) to all locations from which the sealant was removed.
(13)
Seal the bonding connections with SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016) and then apply PAINTS FOR DETAIL (INTERNAL AND EXTERN AL) (Material No. 07-001).
(14)
Install the air intake nose (Ref. TASK 49-16-44-400-002).
(15)
Install the air intake flap (Ref. TASK 49-16-43-400-002).
(16)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-005) around the screw heads at the inner side of the air intake duct.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1KD, 2KD.

C. Do the operational test of the Air Intake Flap and Diverter (Ref. TASK 49-16-00-710-002).
