(1)
Put the access platform in position below the APU access doors 315AL and 316AR.
(2)
Open the access doors 315AL and 316AR (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-001).
(3)
Put a container in position of the flow divider and drain-valve assy.
4. Procedure

A. APU Preservation
(1) Disconnection of fuel supply CAUTION : DO NOT PUT HYDROCARBON FUEL(S)/OIL(S) INTO THE ENGINE
_______ COMPRESSOR. THEY CAN BURN SUDDENLY AND DAMAGE THE APU.
(a)
Disconnect the main fuel inlet-pipe from the flow divider and drain-valve (Ref. TASK 49-32-12-000-001).
(b)
Disconnect the primary-fuel pipe from the flow divider and drain-valve assy (Ref. TASK 49-31-41-000-001).
(2)
Let the fuel drain into the container.
(3)
Disconnection of electrical supply
WARNING : DISCONNECT THE LOW TENSION ELECTRICAL SUPPLY 5 MINUTES
_______ BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE IGNITION SYSTEM. ALSO, GROUND THE IGNITER LEAD WITH AN INSULATED DEVICE AS YOU DISCONNECT IT FROM THE IGNITER PLUG. HIGH CURRENT AND VOLTAGE, WHICH ARE USED IN THE IGNITION SYSTEM, CAN KILL YOU.
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector P10 from the ignition unit (Ref. TASK 49-41-38-000-001).
(b)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(4)
Connect the main fuel inlet-pipe to the flow divider and drain valve assy (Ref. TASK 49-32-12-400-001).
(5)
Disconnect the LP fuel inlet-line from the Fuel Control Unit (FCU)
(Ref. TASK 49-32-11-000-001).
(6)
Connect a supply of preservation OILS (Material No. 03-008) to the
inlet port of the fuel control unit.
(7)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(8)
Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these)
circuit breaker(s):
1KD, 2KD
(9)
Dry Motor Cycle of APU
CAUTION : DO NOT TRY TO START THE APU A FOURTH TIME UNTIL THE STARTER
_______ MOTOR IS COOL (60 MINUTES MINIMUM). WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU TRY TO START THE APU THREE TIMES, WITH AN INTERVAL OF ONE MINUTE BETWEEN EACH TIME THAT YOU TRY.
