A. Installation of the drain valve in the washbasin.
(1) Put the new packing (9) and the valve body (8) in position on the washbasin, make sure that the identification marks are aligned.
(2) Install the collar (10) and the nut (11). R (3) TORQUE the nut (11) to 0.35 m.daN (30.97 lbf.in) maximum.
(4)
Put the plate assembly (4) in position.
(5)
Install the screws (6) and the washers (5).
(6)
Install a new O-ring (2) on the shaft of the operating handle (1).
(7)
Put the operating handle (1) in position and install the grubscrew (3).
(8)
Install a new O-ring (17) on the plug assembly (16).
(9)
Installation of the plug assembly (16).
(a)
Put the plug assembly (16) in position in the tube (7).
(b)
Install the spring (15), the tube (14), the washer (13) and the new retainer (12).

A. Installation of the drain valve in the washbasin.
(1)
Put the new gasket (6) and the valve body (7) in position on the washbasin (5), make sure that the identification marks are aligned.
(2)
Install the collar nut (4).
(3)
Tighten the collar nut (4) to between 1/8 and max 1/4 turn.
(4)
Install the filter (3) in the drain valve.
(5)
Install a new O-ring (2) on the strainer plug (1).
NOTE : The O-ring (2) has a much smaller diameter.
____ You must be very careful when you expands it to install it on the strainer plug (1).
(6)
Install the strainer plug (1) in the collar nut.
(7)
Put the hose (8) in position and install the clamp (9).
(8) Install the stopper (10). **ON A/C 001-003, 051-052,

B. Adjustment of the Control Cable
(Ref. Fig. 403/TASK 38-32-42-991-004)
(1)
Adjust the close position.
(a)
Put the operating handle (26) in the close position.
(b)
Make sure that the lever (25) contacts the close stop.
(c)
Make sure that the plug (20) is closed.
(d)
Loosen but do not remove the nut (23).
(e)
Adjust the nut (21) and make sure that the distance between the lever (22) and the plug assembly rod (24) is between 0.5 mm (0.0196 in.) and 1.0 mm (0.0393 in.).
(f)
Tighten the nut (23).
(2)
Operate the operating handle (26) and make sure that the system operates smoothly.
