 (4)
 Push the slidebuttons (6) at each end of the lampholder (5) and
 remove the fluorescent tube (7).


 (5)
 Removal of the ballast unit and lampholder

 (6)
 Remove the screws (1), the washers (2) and the cover (3).

 (7)
 Release the quick release fasteners (9) and remove the fluorescent lamp cover (8).

 (8)
 Disconnect the electrical connector (4).

 (9)
 Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.


 (10) Remove the screws (11), the washers (10) and the ballast unit and lampholder (5) from the lavatory structure.

 WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT YOU INSTALL THE BALLAST UNIT AND THE WIRING
_______ CORRECTLY. THIS WILL PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE WIRING AND ALL DANGER OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK.

 A. Installation of the Ballast Unit with Lampholder and the Fluorescent Tube
 (1)
 Installation of the Ballast Unit with Lampholder

 (a)
 Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (b)
 Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

 (c)
 Install the ballast unit and lampholder (5) to the lavatory structure with the washers (10) and the screws (11).

 (d)
 Remove the blanking caps.

 (e)
 Connect the electrical connector (4).

 (f)
 Install the fluorescent lamp cover (8) with the quick release fasteners (9).

 (g)
 Install the cover (3) with the screws (1) and the washers (2).

 

 (2)
 Installation of the Fluorescent Tube


 (a) Install the fluorescent tube (7).
 (b) Close the service cabinet door (13).

 B. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002). R **ON A/C 001-049, 051-099, 101-105, 151-199, 301-399, 401-499,

 D. Test of the Ballast Unit and The Lampholder.
 (1)
 On the Forward Attendant Panel (FAP) 120RH push the membrane switch MAIN ON.

 (2)
 On the FAP 120RH push the membrane switch POWER LAV to on.

 (3)
 Make sure that the lavatory light comes on.
