(1) Put the safety barriers in position.
(2) Put a warning notice on panel 25VU to tell persons not to operate the navigation lights or the strobe lights.
(3) Put the access platform below the applicable zone 534 (634).

4. Procedure
_________ (Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 33-41-00-991-003) Subtask 33-41-00-040-050 R A. Deactivation of the Wing-Tip Navigation Light Glazing Panel
(1) For a pre modification 25268 glazing panel:
(a)
You must replace the glazing panel (Ref. TASK 57-37-12-000-001), (Ref. TASK 57-37-12-400-001) if it has one of these conditions:
-
a longitudinal crack of more than 153 mm (6.0236 in.) in length
-
a vertical crack of more than 25.4 mm (1.0000 in.) in length
-broken glazing.
(b)
If the glazing panel has a longitudinal crack of less than 153 mm (6.0236 in.) or a vertical crack of less than 25.4 mm (1.0000 in.), do the repair that follows:
1 Drill a 6.4 mm (0.2519 in.) dia. hole at the end of the crack.
_ 2 Use fine abrasive paper to make the repair area rough. The
_ repair area is 5.0 mm (0.1968 in.) more than and all around the tape.
3 Clean the surface of the glazing panel with MISCELLANEOUS
_ (Material No. 19-003) made moist with warm soap solution.
4 Dry the surface of the glazing panel with a clean
_ MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).
5 Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-065) to cover the
_ crack and the stop drilled hole.
