B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure, that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the APU doors.
(2)
Make sure, that the APU doors are open. WARNING : LOCK THE MECHANISM OF THE ACCESS DOOR 316AR WITH THE PIP
_______ PIN WHEN YOU OPEN THE ACCESS DOOR. THIS WILL PREVENT INJURY.
(a) Make sure, that the APU doors 315AL and 316AR are open.
(3) Make sure, that the switch 11LJ at zone 315 is in the OFF position. **ON A/C ALL

A. Preparation for Installation
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Apply the SEALANTS (Material No. 09-003) to the mating surface of the service area light (4).
(4)
Apply the SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the washers (5) and the screws (6).

B. Installation of the Service Area Light and the Lamp
(1)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(2)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(3)
Install the lamp (10) in the housing (11).
(4)
Put the the seal (9) in position on the housing (11) and align the screw holes.
(5)
Put the lens (8) in position on the seal (9).
(6)
Put the grid-screen in position over the lens (8), align the screw holes and install the screws (12).
(7)
Hold the service area light (4) adjacent to its correct installation position.
(8)
Put the electrical connectors (1) on the terminals of the service area light (4) and install the washers (2) and the nuts (3).
(9)
Put the service area light (4) in its correct installation position, align the screw holes, install the screws (6) and the washers (5).
