(1)
For the ceiling ballast unit and lampholder:
-put the stepladder below the related ceiling panel.
-remove the related ceiling panel (Ref. TASK 25-23-41-000-001).
(2)
For the window ballast unit and lampholder:
-remove the related cove light panel (Ref. TASK 25-23-48-000-001).
(3)
Find the ballast unit and lampholder (6).

A. Removal of the Ballast Unit with Lampholder and the Tube
(1)
Remove the tube (2)
(a)
Push the buttons (1) at each end of the lampholder (6) and remove the fluorescent tube (2).
(b)
Retain the tube (2).
(2)
Remove the window ballast unit and lampholder (6)
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connectors (3).
(b)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(c)
Remove the screws (5) and the washers (4).

Disconnect the electrical connectors (3).
(b)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(c)
Remove the screws (8) and the washers (7).
(d)
Remove the ballast unit and lampholder (6) from the airframe structure.
