 2. Description___________
 A. General Illumination 
R R R R R R R R R R R  (Ref. Fig. 001) (Ref. 33-21-00) The general illumination system has fluorescent tubes which are installed in the ceiling panels along the center aisle (CEILING lights), above the windows (WINDOW lights) and at each entrance. They illuminate the cabin and the entrance areas. The cabin attendants control the general illumination through the Forward Attendant Panel (FAP) and the Additional Attendant Panel(s) (AAP), which are part of the Cabin Intercommunication Data System (CIDS) (Ref. 23-73-00). 
R R  NOTE : The installation of the Additional Attendant Panel(s) (AAP) is a____ customer option.
 B. Lavatory Lighting (Ref. Fig. 002) (Ref. 33-24-00) The lavatory lighting system gives illumination inside the lavatories. Each lavatory has a fluorescent tube and additional halogen light(s). A microswitch in the lavatory door frame controls the brightness level of the fluorescent tube and the halogen light(s). The cabin attendants control the power of the lavatory lighting system through a membrane switch (POWER LAV) on the Forward Attendant Panel (FAP).

 C. Passenger Reading Lights (Ref. 33-25-00) The passenger reading lights are high intensity lights, which give additional illumination to the passengers. Each passenger controls his own reading light through a pushbutton. The cabin attendants control the power of the reading light system through a membrane switch (POWER READ) on the Forward Attendant Panel (FAP).
 D. Lavatory Lighted Signs (Ref. Fig. 002) (Ref. 33-26-00) The lavatory lighted signs indicate if the lavatories are occupied or not. A microswitch in the lavatory door frame controls the power of the lavatory lighted signs.
 E. Cabin Attendant Work-Lights (Ref. 33-27-00) The cabin attendant work-lights are high intensity lights, which give additional illumination to the attendants and their working areas. Each attendant controls his own work-light through a pushbutton. The cabin attendants control the power of the work-light system through a membrane switch (POWER ATTN) on the Forward Attendant Panel (FAP).

 A. Deactivation of the Cabin NS/FSB/RTS Signs
 (1)
 Do the operational test of the cabin signs (Ref. TASK 23-73-00-710-017) and find the defective NS/FSB/RTS sign(s).

 (2)
 Find the passenger seats from which you cannot see the serviceable NS/FSB/RTS sign.

 (3)
 Put warning notices in position on these seats to tell the passengers not to use them.


 NOTE : It must be possible to see a serviceable NS/FSB/RTS sign from
