 (3) Calculate the delta counts for Figures 504, 506, 508, and 510:
 (a)  For each main landing gear axle, subtract the AXLE ZERO (Figure 501) from the AXLE COUNTS, and write the results in the X (DELTA COUNTS) columns.
 NOTE: For the main landing gear:
____ X = DELTA COUNTS = AXLE COUNTS - AXLE ZERO
 (b)  For each nose landing gear sensor, subtract the ZERO (Figure 501) from the AVERAGE, and write the results in the column labeled X (DELTA COUNTS).
 NOTE: For the nose landing gear:

 O. Calculate Span Values (Figure 511)

 (1) For the main landing gear, calculate the AXLE SPAN for each axle:
 (a)  
Refer to Figure 511 for the formula to calculate AXLE SPAN (m).

 (b)  
For each summation, calculate products from the X, Y, and V values in each pair of figures (505 and 506, 507 and 508, 509 and 510) and then add the three products.


 NOTE: Because the weighting values in Figure 503 are zero, you
____ will use only three pairs of figures for the main landing gear calculations.
 (c)  
For example, to calculate the summation of XYV, add these products: 1) XYV from Figures 505 and 506 2) XYV from Figures 507 and 508 3) XYV from Figures 509 and 510

 (d)  
Make sure that each AXLE SPAN value is between 12.5 and 15.5.
