(2) Do a test of the EVENT RCD switch input from the EIU:
(a)
Push and hold the EVENT RCD switch on the pilots' center instrument panel, P2.
(b)
Look at the bit for port 01 on the DISCRETE DATA display. 1) Make sure that the bit is set to 0.
(c)
Release the EVENT RCD switch.
1) Make sure that the bit changes to 1.

(3) Do a test of the input from the VHF and HF transceivers:
(a)
Make sure that each port shown in the table below is set to 1 on the DISCRETE DATA display.
(b)
Tune each VHF and HF transceiver to an approved test frequency.
(c)
Transmit with one transceiver at a time.
(d)
Make sure that each port changes to 0 when you transmit with the applicable transceiver.

(4) Do a test of the input from the nose gear squat relay:
WARNING: KEEP PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT CLEAR OF THE FLIGHT CONTROL
_______ SURFACES, THE THRUST REVERSERS, AND THE LANDING GEAR. THESE COMPONENTS CAN MOVE SUDDENLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(a)
Supply hydraulic power (AMM 29-11-00/201).
(b)
Put actuators on the nose gear squat switches (primary and alternate) (Fig. 501).
(c)
Do these steps to do a test of the nose squat relay input: 1) Set the sensor to the near position. 2) Look at the bit for port 07 on the DISCRETE DATA display.
a) Make sure that the bit is set to 1.

3) Set the sensors to the far position. a) Make sure that the bit is set to 0.
(d) Remove hydraulic power (AMM 29-11-00/201).

(5) Do a test of the input from the air/ground relay:
WARNING: PREPARE THE SAFETY-SENSITIVE SYSTEMS FOR THE AIR MODE
_______ BEFORE YOU OPEN THE AIR/GROUND CIRCUIT BREAKERS. IN THE AIR MODE, MANY OF THE AIRPLANE SYSTEMS CAN OPERATE. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(a)
Prepare the safety-sensitive systems for air mode simulation (AMM 32-09-02/201).
(b)
Open this circuit breaker:
1) P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
a) 7H8, GND SAFETY RELAY
(c)
Make sure that port 09 is set to 1 on the DISCRETE DATA display.
(d)
Close this circuit breaker:
1) P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
a) 7H8, GND SAFETY RELAY
(e)
Make sure that port 09 changes to 0.
