HF Communication System, serviceable (AMM 23-11-00/501).

 (b)  
VHF Communication System, serviceable (AMM 23-12-00/501).

 (c)  
Electrical power on (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 (d)  
MAWEA, serviceable (AMM 31-51-00/501).

 (e)  
Integrated Display System (IDS), serviceable
 (AMM 31-61-00/501).


 (f)  
CDU installed (AMM 34-61-02/401).

 (g)  
Central Maintenance Computer System (CMCS), serviceable


 (AMM 45-10-00/501).Prepare for the System Test

 (1)  Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY FOLLOW THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO
_______ PREPARE THE SAFETY SENSITIVE SYSTEMS FOR THE AIR MODE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE STEPS CORRECTLY CAN CAUSE THE AUTOMATIC OPERATION OF THE AIRPLANE SYSTEMS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  Do the "Prepare Safety-Sensitive Systems for Air Mode Simulation" task (AMM 32-09-02/201).
 NOTE: Do not open the FLT RCDR AC or FLT RCDR DC circuit breakers

Get access to the CMC INPUT MONITORING menu on a CDU.

 (a)  
Push the MENU key on a CDU.

 (b)  
Push the LSK adjacent to the <CMC prompt.

Push the LSK adjacent to the <OTHER FUNCTIONS prompt.

 

 (d)
Push the LSK adjacent to the <INPUT MONITORING prompt.Procedure

Do a test of the air/ground relay discrete


 (a)  Set the CMC to show octal label 270, SDI 00 from CMC port 20 in binary (C/20/270/00).

 WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PREPARED THE AIRPLANE FOR THE AIR MODE
_______ BEFORE YOU OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKER THAT FOLLOWS. AUTOMATIC OPERATION OF AIRPLANE SYSTEMS IN THE AIR MODE CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DAMAGE.
 (b)  
Open this circuit breaker:

 1)  P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 a) 7H8, GND SAFETY RLY


 (c)  
Make sure bit 27 is set to a 0.

 (d)  
Close this circuit breaker:

 1)  P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
 a) 7H8, GND SAFETY RLY


 (e)  
Make sure that bit 27 changes to a 1 after approximately 5 minutes.

 (2)  Do a test of the VHF keyline discrete:
 (a)  
Tune the VHF transceivers to an approved test frequency.

 (b)  
Set the CMC to show octal label 270, SDI 00 from CMC port 20 in binary (C/20/270/00).

 (c)  
Do a test of the VHF-L keyline discrete: 1) Push the MIC CALL switch for VHF-L on an Audio Control
