TASK 31-41-05-822-019
5. Zero Adjustment on Jacks________________________
A. General
(1)
The zero adjustment on jacks procedure records the digital voltage count of each load sensor in the weight and balance computer (WBC). This digital voltage count is recorded with mode 22. No weight is on the main landing gear.
(2)
You then use mode 99 to put the recorded digital voltage count into the WBC. You make sure that the digital voltage count is correct with mode 21.
(3)
You must calibrate the WBS after the zero adjustment on jacks.

MAIN LANDING GEAR LOAD SENSOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
____________________________________________________
1. General_______
A. There are three tasks in this procedure. The first task is the removal of a load sensor from the main landing gear. The second task is the installation and zero adjustment of a load sensor on the main landing gear. The third task is the installation of shims on the mounting lugs for the load sensors.
B. This procedure applies to all sensors on the main landing gear. The main landing gear includes both the wing and the body landing gear.
C. Each main landing gear has four load sensors. Each sensor is installed on the wheel truck lugs of the landing gear. The weight and balance system has one weight and balance computer (WBC) that reads all sensors.

2. Main Landing Gear Load Sensor Removal_____________________________________
A. General
(1) It is not necessary to lift the airplane on jacks when you remove a load sensor from the main landing gear. (It can be necessary to lift the airplane on jacks when you do the zero adjustment after installation of the replacement sensor. The installation task gives the conditions when jacks are necessary.)
