 REMOTE DEDICATED DISPLAY UNIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the remote dedicated display unit (RDDU). The second task also has an operational test of the RDDU.

 2.  Remote Dedicated Display Unit Removal_____________________________________
 A.  Access
 (1)  Location Zone
 211 Main Deck, LH

 B.  Procedure
 S 864-040
 (1)  Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
 (a)  
P414 Power Distribution Center - Left 1) 414K20 WT & BAL

 (b)  
P415 Power Distribution Center - Right 1) 415H16 WBS CHB ALT

 S 024-021
 (2)  Remove the RDDU:
 (a)  
Remove the screws from the RDDU.

 (b)  
Disconnect the electrical connector.

 (c)  
Remove the RDDU.

 C. Installation Procedure
 S 864-041
 (1)  Make sure these circuit breakers are open with DO-NOT-CLOSE tags attached:
 (a)  
P414 Power Distribution Center - Left
 1) 414K20 WT & BAL

 (b)  
P415 Power Distribution Center - Right
 1) 415H16 WBS CHB ALT

 

 S 424-022
 (2)  Install the RDDU:
 (a)  
Connect the electrical connector.

 (b)  
Install the RDDU with the screws.

 S 864-042
 (3) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
 (a)  
P414 Power Distribution Center - Left
 1) 414K20 WT & BAL

 (b)  
P415 Power Distribution Center - Right
 1) 415H16 WBS CHB ALT

 

 D. Installation Test
 S 864-012
 (1)  
Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 S 864-031

 (2)  
Start WBC mode 01 on the WBC:

 (a)  
Push the MODE key on the WBC.

 (b)  
Push the 0 key and then the 1 key.

 (c)  
Push the ENTER key.

 (d)  
When OK? UNITS=LB shows, push the NO key.

 (e)  
When OK? UNITS=KG shows, push the YES key.

 

 NOTE: The gross weight shows on the left side of the display.
____ The center of gravity shows on the right side.

 (3)  S 754-034Make sure the RDDU display shows the same gross weight and center of gravity (CG) as the WBC display shows.
 NOTE:____ The gross weight shown on the RDDU is accurate to the nearest 100 kilograms. The center of gravity is accurate to the nearest 0.1% MAC.
 (4)  S 864-032Push the RESET key on the WBC to stop WBC mode 01. PROCESS ABORTED.) (The WBC shows
 (5)  S 744-033Push the TEST button on the RDDU. (a) Make sure the RDDU display shows 888.8 for WT and 88.8 for CG. (b) Make sure the TIP and INOP indicators come on.
 (6)  S 864-014Remove the electrical power if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00/201).
