 F.  In addition, the WBC provides discrete outputs for use by the cargo
 loading system.Load Sensors
____________
 A.  The load sensors for the main landing gear are mounted on the wheel truck lugs. They are enclosed in a protective cover which is bolted to the wheel truck.
 B.  The load sensors for the nose landing gear are installed inside the axle in the in-axle mount (IAM) assembly.
 C.  Each variable reluctance load sensor receives power from the WBC. On the main landing gear, the load sensors measure the deflection force on the wheel truck. On the nose landing gear, the load sensors measure the deflection force on the axle. The load sensors return individual wheel weight signals to the WBC.
Pitch Attitude Sensor
_____________________
 A.  The pitch attitude sensor (PAS) is aligned with the pitch axis of the airplane. The PAS receives power from the WBC. The PAS provides precise data on the pitch attitude of the airplane. The PAS is mounted on the forward bulkhead in the main equipment center.

 4.  Calibration Module
__________________
 A.  The calibration module is used by the WBC as a data storage device. The CM stores information on airplane type, tail number, and landing gear calibration figures for later use by the computer. Information stored in the CM will not be lost when power is removed from the system.
 B.  Since all system calibration data is stored in the CM, the WBC can be replaced without recalibrating the system.
 C.  The CM is located in the main equipment center on shelf E2-4 next to the WBC. The CM receives power from the WBC.
 5.  Weight and Balance Computer
___________________________
 A.  The WBC uses input signals from the load sensors and pitch attitude sensor to compute airplane gross weight and center of gravity. It also uses individual and total tank fuel quantity inputs to calculate zero fuel weight and zero fuel center of gravity. The WBC is installed in the main equipment center on shelf E2-4.
