WEIGHT AND BALANCE COMPUTER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
__________________________________________________
1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. The first task is the removal of the weight and balance computer (WBC). The second task is the installation of the WBC. The installation task contains steps to put an airplane identification number into the WBC.
B. The WBC, B7110, is in the main equipment center on rack E2, shelf 4.
C. The non-volatile memory (NVM) of the WBC must contain an airplane identification number to operate. The identification number is the airplane registration number. (The airplane registration number, also referred to as the tail identification or tail sign (T/S), comes from the MAWEA, through the EIU, to the WBC. The number is identified on the WBC display as EIU T/S.)
D. The calibration module (CM) also contains the airplane registration number. When you install a new WBC, you let the WBC automatically get the airplane registration number from the CM.
