(1) Make sure these circuit breakers are open:
(a) P180 DC Power Distribution Panel
1) 180J26 FLT RCDR DC

CAUTION:_______BE CAREFUL WITH THE ACCELEROMETER. IT CONTAINS EASILY DAMAGED COMPONENTS.
(2)
Carefully put the accelerometer on its bracket.
(3)
Install the three screws and one washer.
(4)
Connect the DX393 electrical connector to the accelerometer.

Get access to the CMC Input Monitoring function on a CDU:
(a)
Push the MENU key on the CDU.
(b)
Push the line select key adjacent to <CMCS.
(c)
Push the line select key adjacent to <OTHER FUNCTIONS.
(d)
Push the line select key adjacent to <INPUT MONITORING.

(3) Do a test of the vertical acceleration signal:
(a)
Put C/020/340/00 into the scratchpad with the CDU keys.
(b)
Push the upper left line select key.
(c)
Push the line select key adjacent to HEX>.
(d)
Make sure that the display shows a value between X73E0007 and X7B10007 (where X can be all hexadecimal characters).
NOTE: If you do not get a correct value, make sure that the
____ airplane is level. The airplane must be level with a tolerance of 0.25 degrees. Use a plumb-bob or an equivalent tool to make sure that the airplane is level.

DIGITAL FLIGHT DATA ACQUISITION CARD - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. The first task is the removal of the Digital Flight Data Acquisition Card (DFDAC). The second task is the installation of the DFDAC. The installation task includes a BITE check to make sure the DFDAC operates correctly.
B. The DFDAC (YMXA18) is installed in the MAWEA card file (M7952). The MAWEA is installed between the wheel well for the nose gear and the right side of the fuselage.
