MAINTENANCE MANUAL
26) Mode 36 - Do not use. Enter airplane low weight (airplane weight without fuel). To calibrate the system, both a high weight and a low weight are measured while the airplane is on scales. These measurements are entered into the WBC to determine the response curve of each landing gear transducer. The weight entries can be in pounds or kilograms. When all of the low weights from all of the wheels are entered into the WBC, the display shows PROCESS COMPLETE.
27) Mode 37 - Do not use. Initiate load sensor span and offset calculations for all load sensors.
NOTE: Modes 35, 36, and 37 are not necessary for the use
____ or maintenance of the weight and balance system.
28) Mode 38 - Initiate calculation of transducer resistance for a single transducer. This mode is used when a single transducer is replaced. It initiates the calculation of span, offset, and calibration resistance for the replaced transducer. This mode does not require jacking the airplane in order for the WBC to read the transducer zero data. It also does not require placing the airplane on scales for high and low weight measurements.
29) Mode 41 - Enter/verify airplane type and tail identification code (store data in WBC only). This mode is used when a WBC is replaced. It matches the replaced WBC to the airplane.
30) Mode 51 - Enter/verify CM replacement data (includes airplane type and tail identification code, transducer span offset and resistance data, and PAS offset data). This mode is used when a CM is replaced and calibration data is available on a hard copy. If a copy is not available, then an initial calibration of the weight and balance system is required. When all the data has been entered, the display shows PROCESS COMPLETE.

31) Mode 97 - Show nose gear rebalance data. This mode shows data from the last 10 flight legs for each of the nose gear load sensors. This data is used during nose gear rebalance.
32) Mode 98 - Show autozero data. This mode shows the load sensor zero data from the last 10 flight legs.
33) Mode 99 - Edit calibration module data. This mode allows the operator to enter calibration data into the CM.
NOTE: Incorrect use of mode 99 can cause irregular
____
WBS operation.
(c) Mode selection 1) The WBC performs different tasks depending on the operational mode selected. 2) Until a key is pushed on the WBC keyboard, the display is blank. To select an operational mode push the MODE key.
3) The display shows MODE= . Select a mode by pushing the two digits assigned to that mode. Mode 51 is used as an example.
4) In sequence push the "5" key, the "1" key then the ENTER key. Push the YES key to start mode 51.
5) At this point, some modes will prompt you to enter the calibration code. If ENTR CAL CODE shows, in sequence push the "." key, the "9" key, the MODE key, and the ENTER key. The WBC then shows OK? CAL CODE .9M.
(d) Invalid mode entry
1) When an invalid mode entry is attempted, the display shows INVALID. The display goes blank after 8 seconds, or if RESET is pushed.
(3) Data Characterization
(a) The WBS characterizes gross weight, center of gravity, zero fuel weight and zero fuel center of gravity data according to the validity of the data. The catagories of characterization are as follows: 1) Advisory mode. This is the normal operating mode for the
