ACMS DATA MANAGEMENT UNIT - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. Two tasks are in this procedure. The first task is the removal of the ACMS Data Management Unit (DMU). The second task is the installation of the ACMS DMU. The installation task includes a test to make sure the DMU operates.
B. The ACMS DMU is installed in the main equipment center on the E1-3 shelf.

Install the ACMS DMU (AMM 20-11-22/401).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P415 Power Distribution Center - Right
1) 415L38 ACMS AC

(3) Install the Applications Software into the ACMS DMU, if it is necessary (AMM 31-35-10/201).

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Do these steps to do a software configuration check of the DMU:
NOTE: You must know the correct software part numbers for the DMU.
____ For the DMU to be an approved installation, software with the correct part number must be installed.
(a)
Push the MENU key on the center CDU. 1) Make sure that the <ACMS prompt shows on the CDU menu.
(b)
Push the line select key adjacent to <ACMS.
(c)
Push the line select key adjacent to the prompt that causes the software part number to show (usually REPROGRAM, STATUS, or VERSIONS AND P/N).
(d)
Make sure the correct software part number shows.
1) If the part number is not correct, then do this task: ACMS Data Management Unit Software Installation (AMM 31-35-10/201) or replace the DMU.
