CALIBRATION MODULE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
_________________________________________
1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. The first task is the removal of the calibration module (CM). The second task is the installation of the CM. The installation task contains steps to put an airplane identification number and calibration data into the CM.
B. The CM, M7293, is in the main equipment center on rack E2, shelf 4.
C. You must put an airplane identification number into the CM. The identification number is the airplane registration number which is in the WBC. (The airplane registration number, also referred to as the tail identification or tail sign (T/S), comes from the MAWEA, through the EIU, to the WBC. The number is identified on the WBC display as EIU T/S.)
D. You must also put calibration data into the CM. The CM keeps the calibration data for the weight and balance system. A new CM does not contain calibration data. You must compare the airplane registration numbers from the EIU and the WBC. If the numbers are the same, the CM automatically gets the calibration data from the WBC. If the numbers are different, you must put the calibration data from your written record into the CM.
