(3) After the airplane has made at least one full-stop landing since landing gear replacement or overhaul, use mode-98 to read the 100 percent load sensor zero values. A symbol (*) identifies the 100 percent values. Write the data in the ZERO column of Figure 501:
(a)
Open the keyboard cover on the front of the WBC.
(b)
Push the MODE key.
(c)
Push the 9 key and then the 8 key.
(d)
Push the ENTER key.
(e)
When OK? MODE = 98 shows, push the YES key.
(f)
When REVIEW SET 01 shows, push the YES key.
(g)
When LANDING shows, read the count that shows to the right.
(h)
If the LANDING count is equal to the recorded mode 97 LANDING MSTR count plus (+) one, push the + key.
(i)
If the LANDING count is not equal to the recorded mode 97 LANDING MSTR count plus (+) one, push the ENTER key to advance to the next SET number and then push the YES key. Repeat this step until the LANDING counts agree. Then push the + key.
(j)
When ZERO *1 shows, read the sign and number that show to the right of ZERO *1.
(k)
Push the + key to get the zero value for the other sensors (ZERO *2, ZERO *3, ZERO *4...).
(l)
Push the RESET key to stop this mode. (The WBC shows PROCESS ABORTED.)

(4) For the main landing gear only, add the ZERO values of the two sensors on each axle and write the results in the AXLE ZERO column.
F. Prepare the Scales and the Airplane
NOTE: The wind must be less than 20 knots when you weigh the airplane.

(1) Defuel the airplane until the total fuel quantity is less than 10,000 pounds (4,536 kilograms) (AMM 28-26-00/201). Record the fuel load.
NOTE: FREIGHTERS;
____ Add between 5000 and 8000 lbs ballast in nose cargo area. The ballast should be as far forward as possible to shift the CG forward and increase total nose weight.

(2) Make sure that the flaps are retracted (AMM 27-51-00/201, (AMM 27-81-00/201).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THE GROUND LOCKS ARE INSTALLED ON ALL THE LANDING
_______ GEAR. WITHOUT THE GROUND LOCKS, THE LANDING GEAR CAN RETRACT AND CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Make sure the ground locks are installed on the nose and main landing gear (AMM 09-11-00/201).

Open the doors for the landing gear and install the door locks (AMM 32-00-30/201).
NOTE: Make sure tires and struts are serviced to nominal pressures.
____ Strut pressures must be within | 50 psi of service limts.

Tow the airplane 50 feet straight forward and then push it back onto the scales (AMM 09-11-00/201).
