TASK 31-41-05-404-139
3. Main Landing Gear Load Sensor Installation
__________________________________________
A. General
(1) After the installation of a load sensor you must adjust the sensor to zero. There are two zero adjustment procedures. It is necessary to do only one of the two adjustment procedures. One procedure does not require the airplane to be on jacks. The other procedure requires the airplane to be on jacks. Both procedures use the keyboard modes of the weight and balance computer (WBC).
(a)
After sensor installation, do the automatic zero adjustment (without jacks, mode 38) at these times: 1) After replacement of only one sensor on the body landing
gear. 2) After replacement of only one sensor on the wing landing gear. 3) After replacement of one sensor on the body landing gear and one sensor on the wing landing gear.
(b)
After sensor installation, do the zero adjustment on jacks (mode 99) at these times: 1) After replacement of more than one sensor on the body
landing gear. 2) After replacement of more than one sensor on the wing landing gear.
