 (g)  Turn the wormshaft one full turn in the COMPRESS direction (clockwise) until the tool is free of the rings.

 Remove the cross bolts from the tool axle collar.

 Carefully pull the tool out of the axle.

 Carefully clean all the paint and sealant from the tool.

 Carefully clean the inboard adapter pilot hole (4, Fig. 402) and the area around it, the outboard ring vees (2) and the null adjustment cam surfaces (3).

 Install the cables (Fig. 405):
 (a)  Pull the two sensor cables through the installed rings. 
 NOTE: Cable guide assemblies are in the IAM kit.____ 
 (b)  Make sure the sensor cables are in the slots of the inboard 
 tube bracket. 
 NOTE: For the left side of the axle, connector DT1452 goes in____ 
 the forward tube. Connector DT1739 goes in the rear 
 tube. For the right side of the axle, connector DT1740 
 goes in the forward tube. Connector DT1453 goes in the 
 rear tube. 
 (c)  Make sure the sensor cables hang out the end of the axle. 
 (d)  Put the cables through the slots in the guide tubes. 
 (e)  Remove the cable clamps from the guide tube assembly. 
 (f)  Put the two cables through the cable clamps. 
 (g)  Attach the two cables to the clamps with the cap screws and the 
 washers. 
 (h)  Fold the clamp part of the cable above the outboard tube guide 
 bracket. 
 (i)  Attach the clamps to the outboard tube guide bracket in their 
 initial position. 
 (j)  Make sure the length of the sensor cable loop, and the length 
 between the clamp and the connectors, is correct (Fig. 405). 
 (k)  Put the cable guide assembly in the rings. 
 1) Push the remaining cable length inboard of the inner ring. 
 (l)  Attach the cable guide assembly to the IAM with the captive 
 screw and washer.

 MAIN LANDING GEAR LOAD SENSOR PROTECTIVE COVERS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General
_______
 A.  There are four tasks in this procedure:
 (1)  
The removal of the protective cover for the forward load sensor.
 (2)  
The removal of the protective cover for the aft load sensor.
 (3)  
The installation of the protective cover for the forward load sensor.
 (4)  
The installation of the protective cover for the aft load sensor.
 B.  The load sensors on the main landing gear are in metal boxes which are the protective covers. The protective covers prevent damage to the sensors.
