A. Safety Precautions
WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE

LANDING GEAR.
(1)
Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005833) or the GROUNDLOCK SLEEVE (460007280) is installed on the applicable MLG lockstay actuator (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(2)
Put warning notices in position to tell persons not to operate the MLG and the MLG doors.
(3)
Put the safety barriers in position.

B. Get Access
(1) Open the MLG doors (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).
(2) Make sure that the GROUND LOCK SLEEVE (460005835) is on the MLG door actuators (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-002).
(3) Put the access platform in position below the inspection area.

R R A. Preparation For Inspection
R R (1) Clean the MLG door forward and aft fitting with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
Subtask 52-81-00-210-050
R R B. Do a visual inspection of the MLG door forward and aft fittings to make sure that: - the paint surface is in a good condition - there are no cracks or distortion - there is no wear or corrosion.
(1) If necessary, replace the applicable MLG door (Ref. TASK 32-12-11-000-001) and (Ref. TASK 32-12-11-400-001).

R R (1) Cover the area adjacent to the MLG door forward and aft fittings with masking paper and masking tape.
R R R (2) Apply a layer of STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-005) or STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-006) to the MLG door forward and aft fittings.
R R NOTE : Do not apply the corrosion preventive compound to the bush or____ bearing of each fitting assembly.
