4. Procedure

A. Operational Test of the Warning System Related to the Emergency Exit (Ref. Fig. 501/TASK 52-73-00-991-001)
(1) Do the test below:

1. On the FWD left hatch (FWD left emergency exit):
-pull down the cover flap (2) and remove it from the hatch lining.
-turn the head of the latch pin
(1) a quarter turn counterclockwise to retract the latch pin to the DISARMED position.
2. On the aft left hatch (Aft left emergency exit):
-pull down the cover flap (2) and remove it from the hatch lining.
-turn the head of the latch pin
(1) a quarter turn counterclockwise to retract the latch pin to the DISARMED position.
3. On the FWD left hatch (FWD left emergengy exit door):
-push the latch pin (1) against the spring and turn its head a quarter turn clockwise to extend the latch pin in the ARMED position.
On the lower ECAM display unit, on theDOOR/OXY page:
-
the symbol of the FWD left emergencyexit and the EMER EXIT message comeinto view in amber.
-
the SLIDE ARMED indicator light 2WN1
(3) comes on.
-
the SLIDE ARMED indicator light 2WN1
(3) goes off.
On the lower ECAM display unit, on
the DOOR/OXY page:
-
the SLIDE indication goes off.
-
the SLIDE ARMED indicator light 2WN1
(3) comes on.
On the lower ECAM display unit, on
the DOOR/OXY page:
-
the symbol of the aft left emergency exit comes into view in amber.
-
the SLIDE ARMED indicator light 2WN1
(3) goes off.

the SLIDE ARMED indicator light 2WN1
(3) comes on.

4. On the aft left hatch (Aft left emergency exit): - push the latch pin (1) against the spring and turn its head a quarter turn clockwise to extend the latch pin in the ARMED position. - the SLIDE ARMED indicator light 2WN1(3) comes on.On the lower ECAM display unit, onthe DOOR/OXY page:- the SLIDE indication comes on.
- install the cover flap (2) on the hatch lining and push it against the hatch. - the SLIDE ARMED indicator light 2WN1(3) goes off.On the lower ECAM display unit, on the DOOR/OXY page: - the symbol for the aft left emergency exit becomes green. - the EMER EXIT message goes off.
(2) Do the same test on the right side.

The FWD right hatch is on the FWD right emercency exit and the aft hatch is on the aft right emergency exit.
(b)
The FIN of the SLIDE ARMED indicator light (3) RH is 2WN2.
5. Close-up
