B. Get Access
(1)
Put the access platform in position at the Bulk cargo-compartment door.
(2)
Open the Bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(3)
Remove the protection cover (12) as follows:
(a)
Remove the screws (14) and the washers (13) from the protection cover (12).
(b)
Remove the protection cover (12) from the Bulk door frame.
(c)
Remove the plate (11) and the gasket (10) from the floor panel 162KF.

A. Removal of the Proximity Switch
(1)
Remove the proximity sensor (2) as follows:
(a)
Disconnect the connector (1) of the cable loom from the proximity sensor (2).
(b)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connector (1) and on the proximity sensor (2).
(c)
Disconnect the lockwire and remove the lock nut (8) and the lock washer (9) from the proximity sensor (2).
(d)
Remove the proximity sensor (2) from the latch spigot bracket (3).
(2)
Remove the proximity target (7) as follows:
(a)
Release the tab washer (5) from the roller lever (4).
(b)
Remove the lock nut (6) and the tab washer (5) from the proximity target (7). Discard the tab washer (5).

A. Installation of the Proximity Target
(Ref. Fig. 403/TASK 52-71-12-991-003)
(1)
Install the proximity target (7) on the roller lever (4).
(2)
Turn the proximity target (7) until the clearance between the target plate and the surface of the roller lever (4) is 2.5 mm (0.0984 in.) (pre-adjustment).
(3)
Install the new tab washer (5) and the lock nut (6) to the proximity target (7).
