WARNING : BEFORE YOU START WORK ON THE DOOR, MAKE SURE THAT:

THE EMERGENCY CONTROL HANDLE IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
-
THE PERCUSSION LEVER OF THE DOOR-DAMPER AND EMERGENCY-OPERATION CYLINDER IS IN THE DISARMED POSITION WITH THE SAFETY PIN INSTALLED.
WARNING : STOP THE OPENING PROCEDURE IF THE RED WARNING LIGHT FLASHES.
_______ RESIDUAL PRESSURE COULD CAUSE THE DOOR TO OPEN WITH A SUDDEN FORCE AND INJURE PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) Put the access platform in position at the applicable passenger/crew door 831 or 841 or 832 or 842.
(a)
Open the applicable passenger/crew door (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(b)
Obey the special precautions before you start work on the door (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-860-001).

4. Procedure

A. Adjustment of the Proximity Switches (4WN1, 4WN2, 7WN1, 7WN2)
(Ref. Fig. 505/TASK 52-71-00-991-003)
WARNING : DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR DURING THE ADJUSTMENT.

(1)
Make sure that all the doors are closed.
(2)
Remove the SAFETY PIN - SLIDE ARMING (98D52103500000).
(3)
Put the emergency control handle in the ARMED position.
(4)
Disconnect the electrical connector (8) of the proximity switch (1).
(5)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(6)
Connect the CHECKING TOOL-DOORS (355M03210000) to the electrical connector (8) of the proximity switch (1).
(7)
Remove the nut (3) and the washer (4) or (5) or (6) or (7) and discard it.

Turn the target (2) until the NEAR indicator light comes on. NOTE : The target (2) and the proximity switch (1) must not be in
____
contact.
(9)
Turn the target (2) in the opposite direction until the FAR indicator light comes on.
(10)
From this position, screw the target (2) by two turns to two turns and a half.
(11)
Apply LUBRICANTS (Material No. 06-005) on the threads of the target (2).
(12)
Install a new washer:
-
FOR 4WN1, 4WN2
washer (4)
-
FOR 7WN1, 7WN2
washer (5)
(13)
Install the nut (3).
(14)
TORQUE the nut (3) to between 0.3 and 0.4 m.daN (26.54 and 35.39 lbf.in).
(15)
Safety the nut (3) with the washer (4) or (5) or (6) or (7).
(16)
Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (8).
(17)
Disconnect the CHECKING TOOL-DOORS (355M03210000) from the proximity switch (1).
(18)
Connect the electrical connector (8) of the proximity switch (1).
(19)
Put the emergency control handle in the DISARMED position.
