Put an access platform in position in front of the applicable avionics compartment door.
(2)
Open the applicable avionics compartment door 811 or 812 or 824 (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(3)
Get access to the avionics compartment.
(4)
Close the applicable avionics compartment door 811 or
812 or
824 (Ref. TASK 52-41-00-410-002).

4. Procedure

A. Adjustment of the Proximity Switch
(Ref. Fig. 513/TASK 52-71-00-991-015)
WARNING : DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR DURING THE ADJUSTMENT.

(1)
Make sure that all the doors are closed.
(2)
Disconnect the electrical connector of the proximity switch
(3)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(4)
Connect the CHECKING TOOL-DOORS (355M03210000) to the electrical connector of the proximity switch (3).
(5)
Cut the lockwire from the nut (1).
(6)
Loosen the nut (1) of the target (2).
(7)
Turn the target (2) until the NEAR indicator light comes on. NOTE : The target (2) and the proximity switch (3) must not be in
____
contact.
(8)
Turn the target (2) in the opposite direction until the FAR indicator light comes on.
(9)
From this position, screw the adjustable target by two turns to two turns and a half.
(10)
TORQUE the nut (1) to between 0.6 and 0.7 m.daN (53.09 and 61.94 lbf.in).
(11)
Safety the nut (1) with the MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).
(12)
Disconnect the CHECKING TOOL-DOORS (355M03210000) from the proximity switch (3).
(13)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(14)
Connect the electrical connector of the proximity switch (3) to its related connector.
