B. Adjustment of the Proximity Switches (13WV1, 13WV2, 17WV1, 17WV2)

WARNING : DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR DURING THE ADJUSTMENT.

(1) Make sure that all the doors are closed.

Disconnect the electrical connector (8) of the proximity switch (1).
(3)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(4)
Connect the CHECKING TOOL-DOORS (355M03210000) to the electrical
connector (8) of the proximity switch (1).
(5)
Remove the nut (3) and the washer (4) or (5) or (6) or (7) and
discard it.
(6)
Turn the target (2) until the NEAR indicator light comes on.
NOTE : The target (2) and the proximity switch (1) must not be in
____
contact.
(7)
Turn the target (2) in the opposite direction until the FAR indicator light comes on.
(8)
From this position, screw the target (2) by two turns to two turns
and a half.
(9)
Apply LUBRICANTS (Material No. 06-005) on the threads of the target (2).
(10)
Install a new washer:

FOR 13WV1, 13WV2
washer (6)

FOR 17WV1, 17WV2
washer (7)

Install the nut (3).
(12)
TORQUE the nut (3) to between 0.3 and 0.4 m.daN (26.54 and 35.39 lbf.in).
(13)
Safety the nut (3) with the washer (4) or (5) or (6) or (7).
(14)
Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (8).
(15)
Disconnect the CHECKING TOOL-DOORS (355M03210000) from the proximity switch (1).
(16)
Connect the electrical connector (8) of the proximity switch (1).
