Tighten the nut (5) and safety it with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).

Remove the blanking cap from the electrical connector (1).
(5)
Connect the electrical connector (1) to the proximity switch (2).
(6) Adjust the proximity switch (2) (Ref. TASK 52-71-00-820-009). Subtask 52-73-11-865-061
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 48WV, 13WN, 15WN

(1)
Install the air outlet (7).

Install the insulation blanket.
(3)
Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected connector (3). Connect the electrical connector of the SLIDE ARMED indicator-light.

B. Arming of the Escape Slide of the Emergency Exit
(Ref. Fig. 405/TASK 52-73-11-991-004)
(1) Arm the escape slide of the emergency exits (10) as follows:
(a) Turn the head of the latch pin (9) with a wrench a quarter turn clockwise to extend the latch pin (9).
NOTE : The SLIDE ARMED indicator-light (11) comes on.

(b) Install and close the flaps (8) on the emergency exits (10). NOTE : The SLIDE ARMED indicator-light (11) goes off.

C. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Close the applicable FWD passenger/crew door 831 or 841 (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
