A. Removal of Proximity Switch
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 52-71-12-991-001)
(1)
Remove the proximity sensor (4) as follows:
(a)
Pull the door handle (6) away from the recess of the door structure but keep the cargo door latched.
(b)
Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the proximity sensor (4).
(c)
Install blanking caps on the electrical connector (3) and the receptacle of the proximity sensor (4).
(d)
Remove the nuts (10), the washers (11), the bolts (2) and the proximity sensor (4) from the bracket (1).
(2)
Remove the target (9) as follows:
(a)
Pull the door handle (6) away from the recess of the door structure but keep the cargo door latched.
(b)
Remove the nuts (8), the washers (7), the bolts (5) and the target (9) from the door handle (6).

A. Removal of Proximity Switch

(1) Remove the proximity sensor (4) as follows:
(a)
Pull the locking handle (11) away from the recess of the handle flap (6) but keep the cargo door locked.
(b)
Remove the screws (3) and the handle flap (6) from the door structure (Ref. TASK 52-31-21-000-002).

R (c) Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the proximity sensor
R (4).
R (d) Install blanking caps on the electrical connector (1) and the
R receptacle of the proximity sensor (4).
R (e) Remove the bolts (2), the proximity sensor (4) and the shim set
R (5) from the door structure.
R (2) Remove the target (7) as follows:
R (a) Pull the locking handle (11) away from the recess of the handle
R flap (6) but keep the cargo door locked.
R (b) Remove the screws (10) from the locking handle (11).
R (c) Remove the handle cover (8) from the end of the locking handle
R (11).
R (d) Remove the nut (9) from the target (7).
R (e) Remove the target (7) from the handle cover (8).
