1. General
_______ The nose gear doors are located in the forward, lower section of the fuselage between FR9 and FR20. They close the nose gear well. The doors open out and are flush with the fuselage contour when closed. The nose gear doors include :

2 main forward doors 713 and 714 symmetrical with respect to the aircraft centerline, with the following dimensions: Length: 2133 mm (83.9764 in.). Width: 515 mm (20.2756 in.). Height: 167 mm (6.5748 in.).

2 symmetrical aft doors 715 and 716, with the following dimensions:
Length: 486 mm (19.1338 in.).
Width: 502 mm (19.7637 in.).
Height: 162 mm (6.3779 in.).
-1 leg door 712.
2. Description

A. Main Forward Doors Each forward door has a structure made up of composites consisting of a NOMEX honeycomb core covered with layers of carbon fiber fabric impregnated with epoxy resin. It is fitted with 3 hinge fittings, 3 stops, 1 control rod attachment yoke and 1 seal.
B. Aft Doors Each door has a structure made up of composites consisting of a NOMEX honeycomb core covered in layers of carbon fiber fabric impregnated with epoxy resin. It is fitted with 2 hinge fittings, 2 stops, 1 control rod attachment yoke and 1 seal.
C. Leg Door This door is made up of aluminum alloy and is fitted with 2 rollers which act as stops for the main doors.
3. Operation

A. The forward and aft doors open out around axis XX'.
B. The forward doors are normally in the closed position. The doors are locked by an uplock assembly. Prior to landing, the doors are open by a two-way hydraulic actuator (retraction/extension). The doors can be opened manually, on the ground for maintenance operation by a device controlled by a lever.

C. The aft doors are operated by an adjustable rod connected to the gear leg. They are open when the gear is extended.
D. The leg door is secured to 3 points on the rear of the gear leg. It provides a space for the drag strut assembly when the gear is extended.
