A. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Get Access
(1)
Open the emergency exit door (referred to as door) (Ref. TASK 52-22-00-010-001).
(2)
Make sure that an access platform is in position below the opened door.
(3)
Make sure that the special precaution procedure on the door damper and emergency operation cylinder is done (Ref. TASK 52-22-00-860-003).
(4)
Remove the door lining from the applicable section of the door (Ref. TASK 25-23-47-000-013) and (Ref. TASK 25-23-47-000-012).
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Proximity Switch
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 52-71-13-991-002)
(1) Remove the proximity sensor (2) as follows:
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the proximity sensor (2).
(b)
Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
(c)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the locknut (5).
(d)
Remove the locknut (5) with the lockwasher (4).
(e)
Remove the proximity sensor (2) from the attachment bracket (3).

(2) Remove the target (6) as follows:
(a)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the nut (8).
(b)
Remove nut (8) and the lockwasher (7) from the target (6).
(c)
Remove the target (6) from the shaft lever (9).
