A. Get Access
(1)
Open the FWD or the AFT passenger/crew door (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-010-001) to get access to the cabin.
(2)
Pull down the cover flap from the emergency exit hatch and remove it to get access to the target of the applicable proximity switch.
NOTE : When you remove more than one cover flap, make a mark on each

one to make the installation easier.
(3) Remove the applicable emergency exit hatch (Ref. TASK 52-21-11-000-001) to get access to the related proximity sensor.

A. Removal of the Proximity Switch
(1) Remove the target bracket (2) from the cover flap as follows: NOTE : The target (1) is pressed in the target bracket (2).

(a)
Remove the screws (4) and the washers (3) from the target bracket (2).
(b)
Remove the target bracket (2) together with the target (1) from the rear side of the cover flap.
(2) Remove the proximity sensor (6) from the support bracket (7) as follows:
(a)
Remove the screws (11) and the washers (10) and remove the support bracket (7) carefully from the hatch frame of the cabin lining.
(b)
Disconnect the electrical connector (5) from the proximity sensor
(6) and put blanking caps on the connector and on the receptacle.
(c)
Cut and remove the lockwire from the lock washer (8) and the lock nut (9).
(d)
Remove the lock nut (9) and the lock washer (8) from the proximity sensor (6).
(e)
Remove the proximity sensor (6) from the support bracket (7).
