C. Removal of the Door Lining Panels
(1) Remove the lining panel.

(2) Remove the insulation.

A. Adjustment of the Proximity Switch
(Ref. Fig. 518/TASK 52-71-00-991-019)
WARNING : DO NOT OPEN THE EMERGENCY EXIT DURING THE ADJUSTMENT.

(1)
Make sure that the clearance J1 between the target (2) and the bracket (1) of the proximity switch (9) is 41.2 +1.0 -1.0 mm (1.6220 +0.0393 -0.0393 in.)
(2)
If necessary, adjust the target position as follows:
(a)
Loosen the locknut (4) to release the serrated washer (3) and adjust the target (2) to get the correct clearance J1.
(b)
Tighten the locknut (4).

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 48WV, 13WN, 15WN

(1) Do an operational test of the warning system related to the emergency exits (Ref. TASK 52-73-00-710-002).

B. Close Access
(1) Arm the escape slide of the applicable emergency exit as follows. (Ref. Fig. 518/TASK 52-71-00-991-019)
(a) With a hexagonal socket wrench, turn the head of the latch pin
(7) a quarter turn clockwise to extend the latch pin (7). NOTE : The SLIDE ARMED indicator light (6) comes on.

(b) Install and close the cover flap (5) on the emergency exit (8). NOTE : The SLIDE ARMED indicator light (6) goes off.

(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

(3) Close the pasenger/crew door 831 (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-410-001).
(4) Remove the access platform(s). Subtask 52-71-00-862-068
