Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in front of the cargo door.

Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position in front of the FWD passenger/crew door 831 or 841 or in front of the AFT passenger/crew door 832 or 842.
(b)
Open the FWD or AFT passenger/crew door (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-010-001).
(c)
Pull down the cover flap from the emergency exit hatch and remove it to get access to the target of the proximity switch.
NOTE : When you remove more than one cover flap, make a mark on
____ each one to make the installation easier.
(8) For 23WV, 36WV, 38WV and 40WV:
(a)
Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in front the avionics compartment door 811 or 812 or 822 or 824.

Clean the metal parts with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-010) and a lint-free cotton cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).

Loosen dust and unwanted material from the electrical connector with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-010) and a soft brush.
(3)
Dry the connector with a clean low pressure air jet.

A. Inspection of the Proximity Switches
(1)
Examine the sensor for damage and distortion, specially the pins of the electrical connector. Make sure that there are no shocks on the detection face.
