(a) Move the speed brake lever until the spoiler No. 4 is up 15 ± 1/2 degrees.
1) Make sure spoiler No. 4 and spoiler No. 9 align in the limit of ± 1/2 degree.
2) Make sure spoiler No. 5 and spoiler No. 8 align in the limit of ± 1/2 degree.
(b) Move the speed brake lever until the spoiler No. 3 is up 15 ± 1/2 degrees.
1) Make sure spoiler No. 3 and spoiler No. 10 align within the limit of ± 1/2 degree.
2) Make sure spoiler No. 2 and spoiler No. 11 align in the limit of ± 1/2 degree.

(12) Do a test of the spoilers with the speed brake lever in the FLIGHT DETENT position.
(a) Move the speed brake lever to the FLIGHT DETENT position.
1) Make sure spoiler No. 2 and spoiler No. 11 align in the limit of ± 1 degree.
2) Make sure spoiler No. 3 and spoiler No. 10 align in the limit of ± 1 degree.
3) Make sure spoilers No. 2 and No. 11 measure between 14 and 18.5 degrees.
4) Make sure spoilers No. 3 and No. 10 measure between 16 and 18.5 degrees.
5) Make sure spoiler No. 4 and spoiler No. 9 align in the limit of ± 1 degree.
6) Make sure spoiler No. 5 and spoiler No. 8 align in the limit of ± 1 degree.
7) Make sure spoilers No. 4, 5, 8, and 9 measure between 21 and 25.5 degrees.

(13) Do a test of the spoilers with the speed brake lever in the UP position:
(a) Make sure the ailerons are in the neutral position.
(b) Move the speed brake lever to the UP position.
1) Make sure spoiler No. 2 and spoiler No. 11 align in the limit of ± 2 degrees.
2) Make sure spoiler No. 3 and spoiler No. 10 align in the limit of ± 2 degrees.
3) Make sure spoilers No. 2 and No. 11 measure between 30 and 35.5 degrees.
4) Make sure spoilers No. 3 and No. 10 measure between 32 and 37.5 degrees.
5) Make sure spoiler No. 4 and spoiler No. 9 align in the limit of ± 2 degrees.
6) Make sure spoiler No. 5 and spoiler No. 8 align in the limit of ± 2 degrees.
7) Make sure spoilers No. 4, 5, 8, and 9 measure between 37.5 and 44.5 degrees.
(c) Turn the captain’s control wheel 87 degrees counterclockwise from the neutral position.
1) Make sure spoiler No. 3 is up 32 ± 3 degrees.
2) Make sure spoiler No. 4 is up 37 ± 3 degrees.
3) Make sure spoilers No. 8, 9, 10, and 11 move partially down.

(d) Turn the captain’s control wheel 87 degrees clockwise from the neutral position.
1) Make sure spoiler No. 9 is up 37 ± 3 degrees.
2) Make sure spoiler No. 10 is up 32 ± 3 degrees.
3) Make sure spoilers No. 2, 3, 4, and 5 move partially down.

(14) Turn the control wheel to 0 degrees.

(15) Make sure the spoilers move to the down position.
(a) Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN detent.
(b) Make sure that the spoilers No. 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10 and 11 are in the fully retracted position.
F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition

captain’s aileron control wheel.
