(a) A/S-1 and A/S-1A in the aileron transfer mechanism.
(b) A/S-3 in the aileron pogo.
(c) A/S-4 in the aileron bus drums.
(d) A/S-14 in the spoiler mixer (Figure 502).
(e) A/S-15 in the aileron trim actuator.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS,
ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS
CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE
INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4) Do this task: Speed Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B Pressurization,
TASK 27-62-00-800-801.

(5) Extend the flaps (Extend the Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-803).

(6) Move the speed brake lever to the full up position to fully extend the spoilers.

(7) Turn adjustment screw [51] clockwise 2 full turns, or until the stop is reached.
(a) Tighten the check nut [52].

(9) Slowly move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position.
F. Flight Spoiler Adjustment

(1) Measure the clearance between the trailing edge of the spoiler panels and the flaps near the
centerline of the spoiler actuators.

(2) Make sure the clearance between the spoilers No. 5 and 8 and the flaps is 0.085 +0.000/-0.060
inch (2.16 +0.00/-1.52 millimeters).
NOTE: Measure the clearance aft of the spoiler actuator rod end. A larger or smaller
clearance is permitted at other locations along the spoiler.

(3) Make sure the clearance between the spoilers No. 3, 4, 9 and 10 and the flaps is 0.250 +0.050/-
0.010 inch (6.35 +1.27/-0.25 millimeters).
NOTE: Measure the clearance aft of the spoiler actuator rod end. A larger or smaller
clearance is permitted at other locations along the spoiler.

(4) Make sure the clearance between the spoilers No. 2 and 11 and the flaps is 0.300 +0.050/-0.010
inch (7.62 +1.27/-0.25 millimeters).
NOTE: Measure the clearance aft of the spoiler actuator rod end. A larger or smaller
clearance is permitted at other locations along the spoiler.

(5) If the clearances between the spoiler panels and the flaps are not in the limits, adjust the
clearance:
(a) Make a record of the clearance.
(b) Lift the spoiler and extend the flaps to get access to the spoiler actuator:
1) Do this task: Extend the Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-803.
2) Move the speed brake lever to the UP position to lift the spoilers.
3) Do this task: Remove Pressure from the Speed Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B,
TASK 27-62-00-800-802.
(c) Loosen the check nut [55] on the actuator rod end [56].
(d) Turn the piston rod on the spoiler actuator to adjust the clearance between the spoiler and
