(f) Remove the speed brake control cable SBB [2] from the speed brake input quadrant [19].
SUBTASK 27-61-31-020-005
(4) Disconnect the spoiler ratio changer input rod [12] from the input crank [17]:
(a) Remove the nut [16], washer [15], washer [14], and bolt [13] that attach the spoiler ratio
changer input rod [12] to the input crank [17].
(b) If you will install a new spoiler ratio changer [8], remove the rod end bolt from the spoiler
ratio changer input rod [12].

(5) Loosen the rod guard [11] to get access to the spoiler ratio changer [8]:
(a) Remove the bolts [9], and washers [10] that attach the rod guard [11].
(b) Move the rod guard [11] until you can get access to bolt [29], bolt [31] and bolt [35].

(6) Remove the spoiler ratio changer [8]:
(a) Remove bolt [29] and bushing [30].
(b) Remove bolt [31], washer [32], bushing [33] and nut [34].
(c) Remove bolt [35], washer [36], bushing [37] and nut [38].
(d) Remove the spoiler ratio changer [8] from the airplane.
(e) Remove the speed brake control cable SBA [3] from the spoiler ratio changer [8].
(f) Remove the rod guard [11].
