SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS,
ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS

(4) Move the thrust levers No. 1 and 2 to the idle position.

(5) Make sure the airplane is on its landing gear or compress the right main gear strut a minimum
of 5 inches (127 mm).
NOTE: This will open the ground spoiler interlock valve.

(6) Make sure the ground spoilers are in the down position.

(7) Make sure the speed brake lever is in the DOWN position.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE WEATHER RADAR
SYSTEM. THE FORWARD MOVEMENT OF A THRUST LEVER CAN CAUSE THE
AUTOMATIC OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM. THE OPERATION OF THIS SYSTEM CAN
CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT IN THE AREA
OF THE NOSE RADOME.
(8) Open this circuit breaker and install safety tag:

(9) Move one of the thrust levers to the full forward position to retract the speed brake actuator.
