D. Prepare for the Adjustment

(1) Do this task: Remove Pressure from the Spoiler Hydraulic Systems A and B,
TASK 27-61-00-800-802.
E. Ratio Changer Input Rod Adjustment
SUBTASK 27-61-00-020-007
(1) Move the speed brake lever to the DOWN position.

(2) Make sure the aileron control system is in the neutral position.

(3) Install the rig pin A/S-14 from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585 in the spoiler mixer.

(4) Install the rig pin S/B-2 from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585 in the ratio changer (Figure 501).

(5) Make sure that you can easily install the rig pin A/S-3 from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585 in the spoiler
control quadrant.

(6) If you cannot easily install the rig pin A/S-3, adjust the ratio changer input rod [37]:

(a) Remove the bolt [32], washer [33], washer [34] and nut [35] that connects the ratio changer
input rod [37] to the input crank [31].
(b) Install the rig pin A/S-3 from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585 in the spoiler control quadrant.
(c) Loosen the checknut [38] on the ratio changer input rod [37].
(d) Adjust the rod end until you can install the bolt to attach the input rod.
NOTE: It must be possible to install the bolt without excessive force.
(e) Install the bolt [32] with the head up, washer [33], washer [34] and nut [35].
(f) Tighten the checknut [38] on the ratio changer input rod [37].

(7) Remove the rig pins A/S-3, A/S-14, and S/B-2.
F. Put the Airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
