(g) If you installed new SBA [35] or SBB [34] cables, then do these steps to stretch the cables:
1) Use the turnbuckles [31] to tighten the cables to two times the tension shown in
(Table 501).
2) Remove the rig pins S/B-1 and S/B-2 from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585.
3) Move the speed brake lever through its full travel 20 times.
4) Install the rig pins S/B-1 and S/B-2 from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585.
(h) If you cannot easily install the rig pins, if the tension in the cables is not in the limits or you
installed new cables, adjust the tension in the cables (Table 501):
1) Remove the locking clips from the turnbuckles [31].
2) Adjust the tension in the cables to +10/-0 pounds (+44.5/-0.0 newtons) of the tension
shown in table above (Table 501).
3) Install the locking clips on the turnbuckles [31].
(i) Make sure the pressure seals in the left wheel well ceiling align with the cables SBA [35]
and SBB [34].
(j) If the pressure seals do not align with the cables SBA [35] and SBB [34], adjust the position
of the pressure seals:
1) Remove the bolts [32] and washers [33] that attach the pressure seals.
2) Move the pressure seals to align with the cables SBA [35] and SBB [34].
3) Install the washers [33] and bolts [32] that attach the pressure seals.
(k) Remove the rig pins S/B-1 and S/B-2 from the rig pin kit, SPL-1585.
(l) Close this access panel:
