(4) Move the thrust levers No. 1 and 2 to the idle position.

(5) Make sure the airplane is on its landing gear or compress the right main gear strut a minimum
of 5 inches (127 mm).
NOTE: This will open the ground spoiler interlock valve.

(7) Make sure the speed brake lever is in the DOWN position.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE WEATHER RADAR
SYSTEM. THE FORWARD MOVEMENT OF A THRUST LEVER CAN CAUSE THE
AUTOMATIC OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM. THE OPERATION OF THIS SYSTEM CAN
CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT IN THE AREA
OF THE NOSE RADOME.

(1) Move the engine ignition switches from OFF to CONTINUOUS.

WARNING: KEEP PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT AWAY FROM THE AREA AROUND THE THRUST
REVERSERS. THE THRUST REVERSERS EXTEND AND RETRACT QUICKLY. INJURIES
TO PERSONNEL, AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
(2) Move the No. 1 reverse thrust lever to the REVERSE thrust position.
(a) Make sure the SPEED BRAKE ARMED light comes on.
