GROUND SPOILER HINGE LINK - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. General
A. This procedure has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the ground spoiler hinge links.
(2) An installation of the ground spoiler hinge links.
B. This procedure is applicable to the left and right ground spoiler hinge links.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF ALL CONTROL
SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS,
ELEVATORS, FLAPS, SLATS, SPOILERS, LANDING GEAR, AND THRUST REVERSERS
CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE
INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(2) Do this task: Spoiler Hydraulic Systems A and B Pressurization, TASK 27-61-00-800-801.

(3) Do this task: Extend the Trailing Edge Flaps, TASK 27-51-00-860-803.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THE SPOILER WILL REMAIN IN THE OPEN POSITION DURING
INSTALLATION OF THE LOCK-SET. PUT ONE PERSON IN THE FLIGHT
COMPARTMENT TO MONITOR THE SPOILER CONTROL LEVER. IF THE SPOILER
CONTROL LEVER CHANGES POSITION, THE SPOILER PANEL COULD MOVE AND
CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(4) Put the speed brake lever in the UP position to lift the spoilers.

(5) Install the set, SPL-1744 or the set, SPL-1743 on the actuator for the applicable ground spoiler.

(6) Do this task: Remove Pressure from the Spoiler Hydraulic Systems A and B,
TASK 27-61-00-800-802.

(7) To remove the outboard ground spoiler hinge link, do this task: Outboard Ground Spoiler
Removal, TASK 27-62-91-000-801.
SUBTASK 27-62-15-020-002
(8) To remove the inboard ground spoiler hinge links, do this task: Inboard Ground Spoiler
Removal, TASK 27-62-12-000-801.
E. Ground Spoiler Hinge Link Removal
SUBTASK 27-62-15-020-003
(1) Remove the spoiler hinge link [5]:
(a) Remove pin [11], nut [10], washer [9], bushing [8], washer [7] and bolt [6].
(b) Remove ground spoiler hinge link [5] from the airplane.
