(2) Do this task: Speed Brake Hydraulic Systems A and B Pressurization,
TASK 27-62-00-800-801.

(3) Install the force gauge, COM-1557 on the end of the speed brake lever.

(4) Use the force gauge, COM-1557 to measure the force necessary to move the speed brake lever.

(5) Make sure the forces necessary to move the speed brake lever are less than these force limits:
(a) From the DOWN to the FLIGHT DETENT position - 20 pounds (89.0 newtons).
(b) From the FLIGHT DETENT to the UP position - 28 pounds (124.6 newtons).
(c) From the UP to the FLIGHT DETENT position - 28 pounds (124.6 newtons).
(d) From the FLIGHT DETENT to the DOWN position - 20 pounds (89.0 newtons).

(6) If the forces required to move the speed brake lever are excessive, do this task: Speed Brake
Lever Does Not Move Freely - Fault Isolation, FIM 27-62 TASK 807. It has instructions to check
the control cables, forward drum, lever brake, mixer, ratio changer, and control valve. It also has
instructions to lubricate the lever with lubricant, D50116, or lubricant, D50117.
F. Put the airplane Back to Its Usual Condition
