F. Procedure
SUBTASK 27-61-11-420-001
(1) Install the flight spoiler no. 2 [1]:
(a) Put the flight spoiler no. 2 [1] in its position on the airplane.
(b) Install bolt [7] with head outboard, washer [8], bushing [9], washer [10], nut [11] and pin [12].
(c) Install bolt [14] with head inboard, washer [15] bushing [16], washer [17], nut [18] and
pin [19].
(d) Install bolt [31] with head outboard, washer [32], bushing [33], washer [34], nut [35] and
pin [36].
(e) Install nut [6] and washers [5] to connect the bonding jumper [13] to the structure.
(f) Install nut [29] and washers [28] to connect the bonding jumper [30] to the structure.
(g) Connect the rod end of the spoiler actuator assembly [27] to flight spoiler no. 2 [1]:
1) Apply grease, D00633 to the outer diameter of pin [20].
2) Install pin [20], washer [21] and nut [22].
3) Tighten nut [22] to 540-660 pound-inches (61.0-74.6 newton-meters.
4) Install bolt [23], washer [24], washer [25], and nut [26].
SUBTASK 27-61-11-420-002
(2) For flight spoiler no. 3 [2], spoiler no. 4 [3], or spoiler no. 5 [4]:
(a) Put the flight spoiler in its position on the airplane.
(b) Install bolt [39] with head outboard, washer [40], bushing [41], washer [42], nut [43] and
pin [44].
(c) Install bolt [46] with head inboard, washer [47] bushing [48], washer [49], nut [50] and
pin [51].
(d) Install bolt [60] with head outboard, washer [61], bushing [62], washer [63], nut [64] and
pin [65].
(e) Install bolt [69] with head inboard, washer [70], bushing [71], washer [72], nut [73] and
pin [74].
(f) Install nut [38] and washers [37] to connect the bonding jumper [45] to the structure.
(g) Install nut [67] and washers [66] to connect the bonding jumper [68] to the structure.

(h) Connect the aft end of the control rod for the spoiler position sensor from the flight spoiler
no. 3 [2]. To connect it, do, do this task: Spoiler Position Sensor Installation,
TASK 27-61-04-400-801.
(i) Connect the aft end of the control rod for the spoiler position sensor from the flight spoiler
no. 4 [3]. To connect it, do this task: Spoiler Position Sensor Installation,
TASK 22-11-27-400-801.
(j) Connect the rod end of the spoiler actuator [59] to flight spoiler no. 3 [2]:
1) Apply grease, D00633 to the outer diameter of pin [52].
2) Install pin [52], washer [53] and nut [54].
3) Tighten nut [54] to 540-660 pound-inches (61.0-74.6 newton-meters).
4) Install bolt [55], washer [56], washer [57], and nut [58].

(3) Remove set, SPL-1745.

(4) Do this task: Put the Spoiler Systems A and B Back to the Condition Before the Pressure
Removal, TASK 27-61-00-840-802.

SURFACES BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. AILERONS, RUDDERS,

CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER. THIS CAN CAUSE
INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
